DfE to host four safeguarding webinars for schools

Safeguarding CPD
A series of four webinars is being held to support schools on meeting specific requirements of the Keeping children safe in education statutory safeguarding guidance.

The Department for Education (DfE) is hosting the webinars, which take place during February and March and are aimed at all staff working in schools to help them feel more confident when safeguarding children.

The 60-minute webinars will focus on issues including low-level concerns, the single central record, and sexting and online harms. The events are free to attend and take place from 4pm to 5pm. They can also be watched on catch-up:

Elsewhere, SecEd publishes a wide range of content to support safeguarding work in schools, including our best practice archive of safeguarding articles and two recent podcasts – one on general safeguarding best practice and a second focused on responding to child-on-child sexual abuse and harassment in schools.
