The Mouth & Foot Painting Artists Trust Fund has opened entries for its national 2018 Unique Arts Awards.

Now in their third year, the awards recognise artistic excellence among disabled young people between the ages of seven and 21 from across the UK. The awards culminate with the grand finals ceremony, due to take place in London in October.

The awards are divided into five categories of: painter, photographer, 3D sculptor, digital artist, and musician. The theme across all categories is “My World”. There are two age groups in each category – seven to 15 and 16 to 21. There will be three finalists in each of the categories for each age group.

There are three overall awards, Bronze, Silver and Gold, and a special award recognising teachers who have gone the “extra mile” while teaching art, music or drama. The overall winner will receive £600 in Art vouchers and £3,000 for their school. The teacher of the year will receive £2,000 in art vouchers.
